In order to obtain very close mesh belts it is possible to
multiply the number of spirals and cross-rods per pitch, these
are known as cordweave or compound weave belts.
This type of belt is ideally suited for very small items
such as nuts and bolts. Cross-flights and side-plates can be
fitted when products are being carried up an incline.
This compound balanced specification is extremely smooth
and its high density ensures that heat is transferred
uniformly across the entire width of the belt. Widely used for
baking bands and accumulation tables this weave may be
furnished with flattened wire for an even smoother, more
stable surface.
